OBIT: Barbara A. Carroll (Ford City)
Barbara A. Carroll, 75, of Ford City, died Sunday, November 22, 2015, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born December 11, 1939, in Ford City, a daughter of the late Alphonse and Helen (Varholla) Golab.
Mrs. Carroll was a member of Christ, Prince of Peace Church, Ford City. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and collecting owls.
She is survived by her children, Diane (Michael) Klingensmith of Natrona Heights; Michael (Christine) Eck of New York, NY, and Deborah Lightner of Sarver; two brothers, Michael Golab of Kittanning and James (Kay) Golab of Ford City; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Dennis E. Eck; her husband, Victor Carroll; and a sister, Veronica Kovach.
Friends will be welcomed from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, at the Welch Funeral Home in Ford City. Prayers of Transfer will be offered at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, in the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM, in Christ, Prince of Peace Church, Ford City.
