80th Halloween Parade Held in Kittanning
Nearly 300 local residents participated in the 2015 Halloween Parade in Kittanning last night.
A special anniversary award for the most outstanding Float or Group received $50 and was awarded to the “Pumpkin” group. Participants included: Lisa McGinnis, Jamie Ditty, Shanna Blake, Jaysa Ditty, Lexxie Newbold, Leigha Eckman, Tanner Kline, and Brianna Garner.
The $40 award for the Best Appearing Group or Float was bestowed on the “Mechling Family”. Their float of an igloo included the following participants: Tiffany Mechling-Swartz, Gemma Swartz, Raife Swartz, Tammy Mechling, Jora Mechling, Teree Mechling, Mataya Mechling, Ronan Mechling, Jenny Mechling, Miken Mechling, Maddox Rupp, Tara Shotts, Jerzie Shotts, and Leo Shotts.
