State Police in Kittanning have file reports of recent arrests made that involved drugs.
On September 5 at 2:18 AM, Trooper Elliott observed a vehicle committing several traffic violations and was pulled over along Route 422 east in North Buffalo Township. Upon further investigation, an unidentified 38-year-old man from Ford City was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and refused blood draw. The man gave Trooper Elliott permission to search the vehicle. Drug paraphernalia, 38 grams of marijuana, and a glassine baggy of suspected Molly was found. An unidentified 24-year-old from Kittanning was also searched. Police found $1,085 and 12 grams of cocaine. Both were charged accordingly.
On September 3 shortly before 1PM, Trooper Thomas E. Dubovi initiated a traffic stop Route 28 in O’Hara Township, Allegheny County. During the stop, a probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle and a small amount of marijuana was located and seized. Charges are pending against 32-year-old Tia Rae Butler of Verona.
On September 1 at approximately 1:25 PM, Trooper Glasgow initiated a traffic stop along Route 28 North in South Buffalo Township. There was a 20-year-old unidentified male and a 26-year-old female, both from New Bethlehem, in the vehicle. The operator showed signs of impairment and occupants were found to possess approximately ½ pound of marijuana, marijuana wax, and over $1,000 in cash. The investigation continues.
On August 28, an unidentified 33-year-old Dayton man was picked up on a felony warrant in Potter Township, Jefferson County, for a previous incident. The man was found to be in possession of heroin, marijuana, and associated drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed with District Magisterial Judge Mizerock in Jefferson County.
Another incident of DUI was cited in the report.
On September 5 shortly before 1AM, a vehicle committed several traffic violations and was pulled over in the 100 block of Garretts Run Road in Manor Township. The unidentified 55-year-old driver from Kittanning was found to be impaired. A breath test was administered on the accused which resulted in a .230 BAC. Charges will be filed.
