Deer and Jeep Collide in East Franklin Township
No one was injured Sunday in an early morning accident in East Franklin Township.
Pennsylvania State Police report that 60-year-old Harry Breski of Worthington was traveling eastbound on Route 422 just west of the Pony Farm Road when a deer entered the roadway. Breski’s 2009 Jeep Compass struck the deer. Breski pulled over to evaluate the damage, which he felt may have totaled his vehicle. The Jeep was towed from the scene by Mohney’s Towing.
According to Breski, the deer died as a result of the accident.
Breski said he was on his way to work as Supervisor of Maintenance at Mahoning Dam when the accident occurred at approximately 6:15 AM.
