Armstrong County Meth Lab Raided
Local authorities have made the second methamphetamine lab raid in a three week period in Armstrong County.
Armstrong County District Attorney Scott Andreassi announced the raid early this morning at a residence at 508 North Sixth Street in Apollo Borough.
Andreassi said the raid was the culmination of months of intense investigation and a joint effort of the Armstrong County Drug Task Force, the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office, Pennsylvania State Police and local police.
Andreassi said officials believe the residence was an active and ongoing meth lab operating on a daily basis and he characterized it as a mid to high level meth operation.
The initial raid, which was also part of the current investigation, was made at a residence on Garver’s Ferry Road in Parks Township on March 4th.
It is anticipated that the investigation will continue as the scene is processed by agents of the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Clandestine Lab Task Force and the Pennsylvania State Police Task Force.
