Dead Deer Injures Motorcycle Driver
A motorcycle driver received moderate injuries when he hit the carcass of a dead deer laying on the highway.
64-year-old William Naleppa, Jr. was driving his 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle on Route 422, approximately 1500 feet east of the Margaret Road last Friday afternoon shortly before 2:00. Naleppa lost control of his motorcycle and it overturned onto its right side. The motorcycle then traveled approximately another 50 feet.
Naleppa was transported by Citizens Ambulance Service to Allegheny General Hospital while his motorcycle was removed from the scene by Mohney’s Towing.
Elderton Volunteer Fire Department assisted in the incident.
