OBIT: Lillian J. Ellenberger (Kittanning)
Lillian J. Ellenberger, 87, of Kittanning, died on Saturday, July 4, 2015 in the Communities of Indian Haven in Indiana, PA.
She was born on April 23, 1928 in Kittanning - a daughter of James and Nina (Snyder) Martin. She was a long-time employee of the YMCA and retired from Dr. James Greenbaum’s office. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in New Bethlehem and was known for her cooking of Sunday dinners!
Lillian is survived by her son: James (Wanda) Ellenberger of Kittanning; granddaughter: Danielle (Donald) Kephart of Kittanning; and two great-granddaughters: Mariah & Madison Kephart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Walter Ellenberger; grandson: Jamie Ellenberger; and two sisters: Ruth Houser and Mildred Pryor.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Scott Gibson officiating. Interment will take place in the Mateer Cemetery.
