OBIT: Kristopher James Shaw (Ford City)

Kristopher James Shaw, 34, of Ford City, died Sunday, July 5, 2015, in his home.

Born October 27, 1980, in Greensburg, he was a son of James R. Shaw, of Ford City, and Denise (Kotuch) Shaw, of Manor.

He was baptized Methodist, and was a 2001 graduate of Ford City High School.

He formerly lived, worked, and went to school in Hawaii, then lived, worked, and played softball in Jacksonville, Fla.

He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed playing basketball, bowling, and watching the Pittsburgh Penguins and Pirates. Kristopher also had a tryout with the Cincinnati Reds.

After moving back to the area, he worked as a crew chief for Dunkin Donuts.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Kimberly Shaw of Royersford; and two brothers: Donovan Shaw of Kittanning and Derek Shaw of Ford City.

Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 6-8PM tomorrow - Wednesday, July 8, 2015 - in the Welch Funeral Home in Ford City.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM, Thursday, July 9, 2015, with Pastor Cory Grywinski officiating.

Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
