OBIT: Betty J. Lockhart (Kittanning)

Betty J. Lockhart, 71, of Kittanning, died on Monday, November 10, 2014 at ACMH Hospital.

She was born in Kittanning on September 28, 1943, a daughter of Luke and Pauline (Bish) Corbett.

She was a member of the Mt. Union Bible Church. She loved the Penguins hockey team and word search books.

She is survived by her daughter: Michelle Bowser of Kittanning; son: Matthew Lockhart (and wife Cindy) of Kittanning; grandchildren: Trey Askew, Shiley Bowser, Cameron Lockhart, and Katlyn Williams; and sisters: Rachel (Vic) Wolfe of Kittanning, and Sandy (Bob) Shields of Laplata, NM.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Lockhart: brothers: Fred, Bill, and Jim Corbett; and sister: Elaine Toy.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning, where a funeral service will be held at Noon on Friday, November 14, 2014 with one hour of viewing prior to the service. The Reverend Wayne Sawyer will officiate. Interment will take place in the Mateer Cemetery.
