Local Radio Station Goes Mobile!
Hometown Radio WTYM AM 1380 has added cell phones to devices now able to process its signal. The above screen shot shows the smart phone player that is immediately available for cell phone users. The APP can be used to listen to the live broadcast of the Kittanning High School Football game tonight at 7PM.
WTYM AM 1380 has expanded its reach to include cell phones.
In addition to its 1,000 watts of local power, WTYM can now be heard via desktop computers as well as cell phones.
The new APP (short for application) is available immediately for users of android phones. Simply download the APP from Google Play.
An APP specifically for Blackberry and iPhone devices, including iPads will be available next week. Currently, Apple products can access the homepage at www.wtymradio.com, click on the “Listen Live” link on left hand side, and then click on the “Mobile Phone Link” as shown on the screenshot here.
The APP was launched with support from Nextier Bank, who will be the sole sponsor for the live stream.
WTYM Station Manager Becky Everson said she is pleased to have the APP working in time for tonight’s live play-by-play coverage of the Kittanning WPIAL playoff game.
