No Foul Play in Deaths of Distant Persons
The Armstrong County Coroner Brian K. Myers released information yesterday in the February 22, 2015 deaths of two persons in Distant.
Kenneth Steffey, 64, and Linda Darlene Cook, 61, were found dead outside their residence mostly covered in snow.
The incident has been investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police and New Bethlehem Police.
The autopsy showed there were no injuries to either person that would have caused their deaths. There were no signs of physical altercation of struggle. Both individuals had significant medical conditions.
After toxicology results were reviewed, it was determined that the deaths are due to hypothermia. Their deaths are being ruled accidental.
