This is Sunshine. She is one of many animals that have been left abandoned on the street spending day after day scrounging for her food in garbage cans. She was picked up by the Indiana Humane Society where I found her and brought her home. The attendant there told me she was taken home and returned three times. We got her for a two-week trial basis, then made her a permanent member of our family. There are too many animals left in the shelters or to fend for themselves. Our communities need to dig deep into their pockets and donate some money to these places or search deep down in your hearts and take an animal home and make them a part of your family. —Suzanne Forringer
