A Wayne Township woman died yesterday morning in a crash yesterday morning.
Lynn M. Kennedy, 50, of Kittanning, Wayne Township, was traveling south on State Route 1018 in Boggs Township, approximately one mile from the intersection of Routes 28/66 when she lost control of the Buick Lacrosse she was driving. The car left the roadway, striking a bank on the side of road and overturning back on the roadway.
Armstrong County Coroner Brian K. Myers said Kennedy was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, which occurred a little before 10 AM.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by Myers. Myers said the cause of death was blunt force trauma and the manner is accidental. Toxicological analysis was taken.
The coroner’s office was assisted by the Pennsylvania State Police Kittanning, and Templeton, Dayton, and Kittanning Township fire departments.
