A man with multiple warrants tried to allude police at a local bar on Saturday night.

Kittanning Police Officer Michael Bartosiewicz observed Marc Willaims, 26, from Wilkensburg, enter the bar shortly before midnight Saturday night, October 5, 2019.

State Police Trooper Jones, assisted by Trooper Elliott accompanied Officer Bartosiewicz into Attaboyz and identified Willaims at the bar counter. As Willaims was approached, Trooper Elliott told Willaims to put out the cigarette he was holding three times. Willaims refused to obey the commands given. Trooper Elliott told Willaims to put his hands behind his back due to him having multiple warrants. Willaims turned around and would not put both hands behind his back. Willaims ran behind the bar for approximately ten yards and a foot pursuit was initiated. Willaims disobeyed commands by all three officers to stop running. Trooper Elliott had to tackle Willaims to stop him from running as he tried to avoid apprehension. As Trooper Elliott and Officer Bartosiewicz were on the ground with Willaims, Willaims began again to resist arrest by attempting to get back onto his feet. Multiple commands were given to Willaims to put his hands behind his back, but he would not obey commands. After wrestling Willaims to the ground, Trooper Elliott, Officer Bartosiewicz, and Trooper Jones were able to take Willaims into custody.
