The Kittanning Public Library presented a character portrayal of “President Ulysses Grant” last night. Kenneth Serfass made the former commander of the victorious Union army during the American Civil War (1861-1865) come alive. He also shared experiences he had serving as the 18th U.S. president from 1869 to 1877. Serfass is known as the living historian who has been portraying Grant throughout the nation since 2009. Last year Ken made an appearance at the library as General Grant. Serfass has appeared on The History Channel and an episode of the HBO series “Family Tree.”
