Armstrong River Hawks Football Rolls Over Connellsville 60-7

by Jake DeLuca

The Armstrong River Hawks (8-1) varsity football team continued their winning ways on Friday as they defeated the Connellsville Falcons (1-8) 60-7.

It didn’t take long for senior running-back Zane Dudek to find the end-zone as his first two carries of the game lead to two touchdowns.

Zane finished the first half with 237 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries and did not take a snap in the second half as Armstrong lead 47-0 at halftime. Dudek has 2,698 yards so far and only needs 68 yards to break the WPIAL regular season rushing record (including playoffs) this Friday against Kiski Area for the River Hawks senior night.

River Hawks QB Michael Lhote had a good game throwing two touchdowns and rushing for another two.

Armstrong will host the Kiski Area Cavaliers for senior night with kick-off set for 7:00 PM.
