Turkey Foundation Plans Annual Heritage Banquet

Wild Turkey Federation President Dan Frailey presented a monetary donation to Community Action Deputy Director Linda Cornman this past year. He was accompanied in the photo with Federation Treasurer Bill Bassinger and Assistant Treasurer Art Rupp. (submitted) Every year the National Wild Turkey Federation donates to Armstrong County Community Action’s turkey fund in November.

The Kit-Han-Ne Chapter of the National Turkey Federation will be holding their 20th annual heritage banquet at the Kittanning Twp. Fire Hall on August 27th, 2016. The banquet starts at 5PM with dinner being served at 7PM. Tickets will be available at the door for $15.00 unless the event sells out.

New this year, the Chapter will be offering three scholarships to be raffled off to paid attendees who will be a senior in high school through a senior in college this coming school year. First prize will be worth $300.00, second prize will be worth $200.00, and third prize will be worth $100.00. Your admission to the banquet makes you eligible. Winners MUST be present to win the award.

Membership to the National Wild Turkey Federation can also be purchased at the door. Pricing is as follows:

Single ticket with membership: $15.00 meal, $35.00 membership = $50.00

Couples tickets with memberships: 2x $15.00 per meal, $35.00 memberships = $65.00.
