OBIT: Alana S. Klingensmith (Ford City)

Alana S. Klingensmith, 35 of Ford City, died Monday, August 10, 2015 at her residence.

She was born April 12, 1980 in Natrona Heights to Rex Klingensmith and Sharon Young Toy.

A lifelong community resident, Alana was the head cook at Chilli’s in Fox Chapel.

Alana was a Ford City High School graduate and a graduate of the Median School of Monroeville, where she earned her Associate’s Degree.

She enjoyed the Steelers, shooting pool, was a member of the C.U. Club and the Falcons, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.

Alana is survived by her father Rex (and Karen) Klingensmith of Ford City; mother, Sharon (and Richard) Toy of Ford City; son, Kaleb Klingensmith, of Ford City; daughter, Korissa Klingensmith of Ford City; fiance James Porter; brother, Jordan (and Chelsea) Klingensmith of Ford City; stepbrother, Joe (and Susan) Toy of Wisconsin; two sisters: Toni Klingensmith of Ford City and Alisha (and Scott) Moorehead of Kittanning; stepsister, Michelle (and Keith) Lockhart of Tennessee; maternal grandfather, Gale Young; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Travis Klingensmith.

Friends will be received from 4-8PM today - Wednesday, August 12, 2015 - at Mantini Funeral Home in Ford City.

Additional visitation will be offered from 10AM until the time of funeral services at 11AM tomorrow - Thursday, August 13, 2015 - at the funeral home.

Pastor Beth Hawk will officiate.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to be used according to their wishes.
