Living Water Church Kicks Off Services Sunday

The former Knights of Columbus building on Woodward Avenue has been full of people the past few months completing preparations for a new church in Kittanning.

Sunday at 10AM will be the first service for Living Water Church.

Living Water Church began meeting in November on the second floor of Executive Pastor Andrew Laddusaw’s State Farm building in downtown Kittanning until August, when the current building was purchased.

“I am so excited about our new location in Kittanning,” Laddusaw said. “We were running out of space in my building and our new space is where we want to be - right in the middle of the community where we can make a lasting impact.

“We know a transformation will take place through actively spreading God’s love, but to do that effectively, we need to have a permanent presence here in town.”

Lead Pastor, the Rev. Fred Kison, noted a steady stream of dedicated workers to prepare the church for Sunday.

“So many people - not just church members - have helped transform this place from an older Knights of Columbus hall into a contemporary church,” Rev. Kison said. “I think our neighbors will be happy to see what we’ve done and will hopefully get the message that we’re here to support them however we can.”

A special Trick-or-Treat event with cookies, refreshments and games was held at the church Wednesday during Kittanning Borough’s trick-0r-treating.

Anyone is welcome to attend. Following the service, refreshments will be served as guests learn about the church’s ministry.

Those unable to attend the service are also welcome to First Thursday - a contemporary worship/fellowship service - at 6:30PM November 6, said Worship Leader Samantha Seyler.
