Local Sears Owner Signs New Lease

Dan Shaffer (left) stands with his sales associates as they get ready for a special sales promotion this coming Sunday and Monday at the Sears store in Franklin Village.

The announcement to close the Sears mega-store at Pittsburgh Mills had some customers wondering about the future of our local Sears store in the Franklin Village Shopping Center.

According to owner Dan Shaffer, the local store is alive and well!

“The people are hearing the report that Sears is closing (Pittsburgh Mills) and they are coming back to us and saying ‘Is your store closing?’ We are not closing! In fact, we just recently signed an extended lease for our existing location. We plan to be here many, many years!”

Shaffer said his local Sears store is able to do anything the mall stores can do including one big factor:

“Pricing, where we guarantee the lowest price!”

Shaffer said his store will hold a “Family & Friends” event on Sunday and Monday, November 9-10, that will feature exceptional discounts.

“We’re having some doorbuster appliances where you can get up to almost 50% off – or you can take 45% off an get 24 months with no interest charges. If you go to a different off-brand (not a door buster), you can actually get 35% off of the other brands (or get 30% off with no interest for 24 months).”

Shaffer said discounts also apply to the summer and winter lawn and garden merchandise.

“That’s up to 20% off lawn and garden, plus another 5% because it is coming close to snow season. It not only includes tractors and mowers, but also snow throwers!”

For more information, Shaffer can be reached at the store at 724-543-2555.

Nice infomercial. I don’t see auto service available at the West Kittanning Sears.
