OBIT: Betty Jane Snyder (Dayton)

Betty Jane Snyder, 90, of Dayton, Wayne Township, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at ACMH Hospital.

She was born on September 9, 1924 to Robert D. and Gladys J. (Kuhns) Houser in Goheenville, PA. Betty raised her family and help around the family farm.

She was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church.

Betty is survived by her husband, Harry Wayne Snyder, who she married June 15, 1944; son - Roland (Helen) Snyder of Dayton; daughter - Donna Turner of Dayton; brother - Robert J. Houser of Templeton; sister - Frances H. Snyder of Kittanning; two granddaughters: Trisha Brewer of Kittanning and Rebecca Upton of Wellsburg, West Virginia; and three great-grandchildren: Raith Brewer, Delancey Brewer and Christopher Upton.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM tomorrow - Friday, November 7, 2014 - at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home in Rural Valley.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Jerusalem Lutheran Church, with Mr. Ralph Kilgore officiating.

Burial will take place in the Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery.
