OBIT: Linda G. Bowser (Kittanning)
Linda G. Bowser, 65 of Kittanning, died Monday, July 1, 2013 at her home.
She was born February 15, 1948 to Ken and Martha (Shirley) Davis in Kittanning.
Linda formerly sold Avon and worked at Rivercliff Terrace in Applewold Borough and Ford’s Flowers in West Kittanning.
For many years, Linda attended Grace Brethren Church in West Kittanning.
A 1967 graduate of Kittanning High School, she was also a former member of the West Kittanning Volunteer Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary.
Linda enjoyed collecting bird houses, attending gun bashes and fire department ticket drawings.
Linda loved those who helped take care of her: including all personnel at Armstrong Community Memorial Hospital, the Richard G. Laube Cancer Center and Kittanning Care.
She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Gerald “Beau” Bowser and beloved dogs, Jack and Blue (Missy).
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Shirley C. Davis in 2011.
Friends will be received from 10AM until the time of funeral services at 11AM Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Kennedy and Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning.
A funeral luncheon will be hosted by Lynn Miller in her home at 2213 Center Avenue in Ford City after the service. Anyone wishing to donate food may do so at anytime at Lynn’s home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to both Citizens Bank of Kittanning c/0 Lynn Miller or Gerald Bowser for the Linda G. Davis-Bowser Funeral Fund.
