Alan “Butch” Puccetti
Following the Pledge of Allegiance at Monday night’s Kittanning Borough Council Meeting, members paused for a moment of silence to remember Alan “Butch” Puccetti.
Puccetti was elected to Council during last November’s General Election to represent the Third Ward. However, he passed away unexpectedly in mid-December.
Council President Scott Davis declared his council seat “vacant”. Although there were already five persons that had submitted letters of interest to be appointed as Puccetti’s replacement, Council decided to hold the decision until the February 3 meeting.
Any adult resident who has lived in Kittanning’s Third Ward for one year or longer is eligible to serve. If you are interested in be considered, please submit a letter of interest to the borough manager by close of business January 31.
