Manor Township supervisors last night approved their 2020 budget with no tax increase. The tax levy will remain at 6 mills.
Revenues are expected to be $1,021,503 next year. However, expenditures will be $1,242,297 – which is $220,794 more than income.
Since Manor will begin 2020 with a fund balance from 2019 of just over $1 million, supervisors will take $220,794 to balance the budget.
The township is expecting $60,000 from Comcast for cable television franchise in the township.
Expenses will include a raise for Township Secretary Jill Davis. Her salary will increase from $45,000 to $52,000. The Police Department will cost $338,264 to operate in 2020. It will also cost more than $317,000 to provide services to township roads.
The reorganizational meeting will be held on Monday, January 6 at 6PM. An Auditors meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 7 at 6PM.
