Paul Walker was found safe yesterday afternoon after being missing for 24 hours.
A North Buffalo Township man who is suffering from dementia and walked away from his home Tuesday was found Wednesday afternoon.
Paul Walker, 70, was found in a wooded area along Livengood Road.
Michele Gaiser, his niece told television station WTAE that her uncle didn’t realize a massive manhunt was being conducted to look for him.
“I don’t even think he is aware he was lost. He’s smiling. He doesn’t seem to have a scratch on him. He’s going to go get checked out. It’s all good.”
Because Walker is diabetic, family members are having him medically evaluated, but they said he seems perfectly normal.
Family members said Walker has wandered off on the large family-owned property along Walker Road, but was always able to be retrieved by family members.
West Kittanning fireman Gary Karns predicted he would be found near his home. “I just felt like he would be close by,” Karns said.
