Ford City Police Chief reads his report at Monday night’s council meeting.
Although Ford City Council voted to hire another part-time police officer on Monday night, Police Chief Paul Hughes said more are needed.
Council hired Dominic Regous based on recommendations from both Hughes and Mayor Jeff Cogley. He will be subject to drug screening and background check before he begins work. He will also be subject to the normal six-month probationary period.
Hughes said the department continues to search for “good officers.”
Rigous will be paid the current wage for a part-time police officer.
