South Buffalo Man Seen in Pittsburgh

WPXI Channel 11 News in Pittsburgh reported last night that Kenneth Himes, who was reported missing on the morning of December 26 from his brother’s house in South Buffalo Township, was seen at a Mount Washington restaurant that he regularly visited later that same day.

There was speculation that Himes was able to walk 30 miles, and his family said it was possible.

Servers at the J&J Restaurant confirmed that Himes was there last Wednesday. Police have checked his home, but said that he has not been there. They now have put up fliers at the Giant Eagle on Pittsburgh’s Southside where he could possibly go since he worked there for 20 years.

Over 250 persons searched for several days in South Buffalo Township. Search dogs repeatedly took searchers to a pond about a mile from the house. It was drained but Himes was not found.

The family is hoping that he will be found soon.

Himes is 6-foot two-inches, 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black tassel cap, and white tennis shoes. Please call the State Police at 724-543-2011 if you see him.
