State Route (SR) 66 is scheduled to close November 6-13 as part of the Oakland Cemetery Bridge project in Bethel Township and Manor Township, Armstrong County.
Beginning Tuesday, November 6 at 7:00 AM, the northbound and southbound lanes of SR 66 will be closed to all traffic at the Oakland Cemetery Bridge over Crooked Creek. This closure will facilitate work being performed on placement of the concrete deck.
This work is weather-dependent and may need to be rescheduled. Route 66 is expected to re-open at 7:00 AM on Tuesday, November 13.
A posted detour will be in place.
The bridge is expected to be open to two-lane, unrestricted traffic by the end of
December 2018.
This bridge replacement project is being constructed by Swank Construction, LLC., and is expected to be completed by December 2018.
Motorists should slow down and use caution in work zones, and obey flaggers and other traffic control devices. Expect congestion and delays in the project area. Fines are doubled for violations in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the workers.
