Pennington
The Chatham Cougars competed at the Women’s Cross Country PAC Championships on Saturday.
First-year Chatham College student Rebecca Pennington earned the event’s individual title and PAC Runner of the Year honors after posting a winning time of 23 minutes, 33.53 seconds (6:18/mile).
She is Chatham’s first runner of the year since joining the league in 2007.
Pennington was also named PAC First Team.
As a team, the Cougars finished fifth overall out of eight teams. This is two spots up from last year’s PAC Championship finish.
Pennington is the daughter of Rob and Beth Pennington of Petrolia and a 2018 graduate of Karns City High School.
