David Wolfe’s accusations last night about local police officers threatening him is rippling through the emergency services community this morning.
North Buffalo Township Supervisor Chairman David Wolfe said the merger discussions between his township and East Franklin Township supervisors have created problems for him.
“I have been getting calls from residents,” Wolfe said at an East Franklin Township public meeting last night. “I have been getting threats. I got threats that they are going to put drugs in my car and arrest my 18-year-old son.”
The threats, Wolfe said, are from police officers.
“If some of these police that are supporting Sgt. Evans want to do this stuff, you go right ahead, because I know the Attorney General and we will bring him in. We will let him handle those kind of things,” he said defiantly.
Wolfe was vague on who the police officers were or what departments they represented.
“If it is coming out of the police departments - I’m not accusing any one department. I’ve been talked to by other police officers from other departments. They are in support of Officer Evans. He didn’t tell them we offered him a job. He didn’t tell them the facts. If you are a police officer and you are telling lies over something like this, how is your credibility going to be when you get on the stand and you have a criminal?”
Wolfe was not available for comment last night after the meeting about his accusations.
