Mark Feeney and David Croyle both were in court yesterday for a preliminary hearing. Both defendants from Kittanning have been separately charged with sexual assault charges by the same individual.
Magisterial District Judge James Owen explained that the hearing was not to establish guilt or innocence, but rather to decide if the Commonwealth had evidence sufficient to send the case to Common Pleas Court.
Through an agreement made between lawyers for the defendants and District Attorney Katie Charlton, two of the six counts were dismissed, and the defendants waived their right to a hearing, sending the other four charges to Common Pleas Court.
“We intend to see this through to the end,” Attorney Duke George said. George is defending Croyle.
