Criminal Charges Filed Following October DUI Arrest

Monday, Pennsylvania State Police from the Kittanning barracks filed a dozen misdemeanor and summary charges against a Ford Cliff man who allegedly was driving his motorcycle under the influence of alcohol in October.

Louis Woyton, 61, faces the misdemeanor DUI charge as well as 11 other summary charges for allegedly operating the 2000 Harley Davidson Electric Glide motorcycle with a suspended license, carelessly and while the motorcycle was unregistered and without an expired inspection.

In the initial police information report, troopers said Woyton was driving along State Route 66 northbound prior to the Huston Road intersection in Manor Township at about 9PM October 1 when Woyton improperly passed the vehicle in front of him without signaling and in a double-yellow zone.

Upon contact with Woyton, troopers said Woyton displayed signs of intoxication, enough that he was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.

A preliminary hearing is pending before District Magisterial Judge Gary DeComo.
