Fire Crews Converge on Garage Fire
Ford City and Kittanning firefighters battled a garage/structure fire early this morning along O`Connor Street in Ford City Borough. Nobody was reported injured (KP File Photo).
About 4AM, Ford City volunteer firefighters as well as emergency medical responders and police responded to 302 O`Connor Street for a garage fire.
Approximately 10 minutes into the incident, Kittanning Hose Company #1 firemen were requested by Ford City Fire Chief Ron Wojcik on-scene to back-up the fire department with their tower apparatus and manpower.
Firefighters declared the fire “under control” to emergency dispatchers about 4:30AM.
Nobody was reported injured in the fire.
Kittanning Hose Company #1 and police units left the scene about 4:50AM - about an hour after the fire was initially reported.

The picture in this article doesn’t appear to O’Connor Street Ford City. Looks like lower-end 3rd Ave. last block in the lower-end.

This picture is from a stove fire early this year on 3rd Ave. Look at the bricks on the street! O’Connor along 3rd Ave. up from the 10th Street Station is paved.
