It was another day in the office for the West Shamokin girls varsity volleyball team as they improve to 12-0 on the season with a win Monday against Penns Manor.
The Wolves were able to take down the Comets in three straight sets by scores of 25-12, 25-12, and 25-7 in another solid performance.
West Shamokin did a great job of serving and spreading the ball around as no one really dominated the kills department. Katie Glover had a team high 7 kills and defensively for the Wolves Jasah Huth finished with 6 blocks on the evening.
The Wolves next match-up is at home this Thursday against Ligonier Valley. After the game against Penns Manor West Shamokin Head Coach Dan Spencer had high praise for their next opponent.
“Ligonier Valley played us really well (at Ligonier Valley). Their girls are very athletic, probably as athletic a team as there is in the conference. So we’ll have to play a little bit better,” Spencer said.
The Wolves only have four league matches left on the season, but have a couple of tournaments coming up at home on Saturday and away at Norwin on October 22nd.
