The Armstrong River Hawks (5-1) were able to bounce back from their first loss in a big way against Plum(0-5), defeating the Mustangs 56-28.
The River Hawks offensive line dominated the trenches yet again and senior running-back Zane Dudek continued his ridiculous season compiling 492 rushing yards on 38 carries and 6 touchdowns.
That performance was good for a new WPIAL single-game rushing yards record. Dudek is now over 1,800 yards, inching closer to the WPIAL single-season record of 2,149.
Michael Lhote added two passing touchdowns, one to Ryan Pierce and the other the shawn Giddings.
The River Hawks hope to repeat their success this Friday when they host the Greater Latrobe Wildcats (0-5).
