After starting the season off 3-0 the River Hawks suffered their first loss of the season against Franklin Regional at home by a final score of 24-20.

Plum comes into this game searching for their first win of the season as they sit at 0-4 on the season and in last weeks match-up against McKeesport the Mustangs had their best offensive showing and their worst defensive game at the same time. The Mustangs were able to score 24 points, but McKeesport scored 52 to drop Plum to 0-4.

The Mustangs have already matched their loss total from last year when they finished with an above .500 record with 6-4, but this year has been more of astruggle and the River Hawks should be able to take advantage of the struggling Musangs.

Plum currently has two quarterbacks with the same amount of attempts. A wise man once said if you have two quarterbacks you don’t have one and that may be why Plum has been struggling. Corey Thomas for the Mustangs has taken snaps at quarterback and running back and has the most total yards for Plum, making him arguably the biggest threat to the River Hawks.

Plum has allowed nearly 49 points per game and will provide Armstrong with a good chance to bounce back from their loss last week against Franklin Regional.
