River Hawks Suffer First Loss of the Season to Franklin Regional
The Armstrong River Hawks (4-1) suffered their first loss of the season on Friday at home against the Franklin Regional Panthers (2-2) , falling to the Panthers 24-20.
The Panthers defense was able to limit Armstrong running-back Zane Dudek to 238 total yards (136 rushing, 102 receiving) and two touchdowns – which is a great performance for any other player, but ended up being a season low in yards for Dudek.
Armstrong had a 20-10 lead in the fourth quarter thanks to two Michael Lhote TD passes to Shawn Giddings and Zane Dudek along with a rushing touchdown from Dudek, but unfortunately for the River Hawks, Franklin Regional was prepared for a comeback.
With 8:50 left to go, the Panthers QB Simon Behr scrambled for a 60-yard TD run, and that was just the start for Behr. Later in the fourth, Behr was able to complete the game winning TD pass to Adam Grajewski leading to the final score of 24-20.
Zane Dudek and the River Hawks will look to bounce back this week as they travel to Plum to take on the 0-4 Mustangs.

I have been saying this all along. You can’t rely on 1 player to carry a team. These schools will be shutting dude’s run down and fabian is too ignorant to build a complete team offense.

I saw that fake punt coming from my home 9 miles away from the playing field as I watched on channel 22. In that situation it should have been obvious to the Armstrong coaching staff and players as well.
And, where are we going to find some 12 foot tall receivers to catch those passes?

These are high school kids that are supposed to be having fun. I am sure they appreciate the armchair quarterbacks pointing out their flaws. You guys take high school sports way to seriously.
