Dudek Pushes River Hawks Past Karns City

The Armstrong River Hawks traveled to Karns City on August 26th to face off against the Gremlins in what started off as a back and forth game, but ended up being a comfortable win for Armstrong.

Heading into half-time with the score was 7-6 in favor of Armstrong. The seven first half points for Armstrong came off of a Jacob Aertz fumble recovery in the end zone, while Karns City’s six points came from a pair of Kaiden Powers’ field goals.

The River Hawks were able to break the game wide open in the second half thanks to Senior star running back/ defensive back Zane Dudek.

Dudek, who rushed for over 2,000 yards last year put on quite the show. He was able to rack 279 yards rushing against the Gremlins along with four touchdowns and an interception on defense.

The final score of the game was 35-22. Next week the River Hawks will face off against Moon Area High School.

Congrats riverhawks but it sounds like you need to build a complete offense. Once these big schools shut dudek down or if he gets hurt, what do you have to offer?
