Multiple Stabbings Send Victims to Pittsburgh Hospitals

Three people were rushed to area hospitals just after midnight early Sunday morning following a fight outside the Hot Spot Hotel and Lounge on the corner of North Grant and Reynolds avenues.

The incident allegedly occurred in the parking lot. When the fight broke out, one of the persons pulled a knife and began stabbing other participants.

According to police records, two of the victims were transported by medical helicopter - not necessarily because their wounds were life threatening but because Pittsburgh hospitals have trauma centers that handle such cases.

Kittanning Police are not commenting at this time on the case, but say they will be reviewing the findings of their investigation with the District Attorney Scott Andreassi this week to determine the type of charges and the identify the persons upon whom the charges will be levied.

In addition to the bar and lounge, the hotel has 22 rental units.

This bar should have been labeled a Nuisance Bar years ago. It is sad to watch what has happened to Kittanning. Once you read the names of those involved you will see they are some of the smae familys that have been creating havoc in the bars in Kittanning. The one in particular now I think is third or fourth generation of proud barroom brawlers.
