Local Man Jailed Following Gun Threat

A local man is in the Armstrong County Jail following an incident Saturday afternoon shortly after 2PM.
24-year-old Wade Cover Schrecengost entered the McDonalds parking lot in the Franklin Village Shopping Center in East Franklin Township and began an altercation with a unidentified 25-year-old female, who was parked in her vehicle. Schrecengost allegedly pointed a gun at the victim’s vehicle and ordered her out of her car.
Pennsylvania State Police Trooper James Sellers filed charges through the court of District Magisterial Judge James Owen that included a Felony-3 charge of Endangering the Welfare of Children; two counts of Simple Assault; Recklessly Endangering Another Person; Disorderly Conduct, and making Terroristic Threats. He is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
