Modified Sentence Given to Convicted New Kensington Cocaine Dealer

Damore was arrested more than three years ago for dealing cocaine.

A “high-level cocaine dealer” from New Kensington arrested by ARMNET agents more than three years ago received a modified sentence at the Armstrong County Courthouse yesterday.

Robert Damore, also known as “Whitey,” was arrested before New Years Eve 2012 by Armstrong County Narcotics Taskforce (ARMNET) agents at the Franklin Village Shopping Center parking lot in East Franklin Township for possession of a controlled substance and two felony counts of intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Following a trial, Damore was found guilty by Armstrong County President Judge Kenneth Valasek in February 2014, and sentenced Damore to five to 10 years confinement in a state Department of Corrections facility, but Damore filed a motion for a new trial and a modified sentence under the state’s Post Conviction Relief Act and then with the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.

However, that case was discontinued in June 2014. Still, Judge Valasek entertained an amended sentence.

Damore was sentenced yesterday to two-and-a-half to five years (30 to 60 months) in the state Department of Corrections, but also was credited with more than 950 days of jail time (or about 31 months).
As of yesterday, Damore also owes more than $1,800 in fines and court costs and is prohibited for use or possession.

Shame on you Judge for cutting his time in half.
He’ll never pay 1800.00 to the court system and you just gave him hope of getting out and doing it again. And if does pay the fine it’ll be with Drug money.
