Kittanning Men in Jail on Murder Charges
A Kittanning man is dead after being shot in the chest in Adams Township, Butler County shortly after 3AM last Friday.
Pennsylvania State Police have arrested Jacob Adams, 24, and McKinley Berry, also 24 - both of Kittanning and charged them with Homicide. Both were placed in the Butler County Jail on Sunday.
Police identified the victim as 24-year-old Jason McIntyre of Kittanning.
Police were notified after a neighbor reported an incident at 141 Donnieville Road in Valencia. McIntyre was found shot outside the residence.
McIntyre had served time in jail following arrests made over the past four years on various charges. Police would not speculate if drugs played a role in the slaying.
Visitation for McIntyre is being planned for Tuesday, January 26 at the Kennedy-Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning. A funeral service will be held at Harvest Community Church on Wednesday t 11AM.
