Motorcycle Driver Injured in Rayburn Township
A Kittanning man was seriously injured while riding his motorcycle on Monday shortly before Noon.
Nelson A. Litteck, Jr., 45, attempted to negotiate a left hand turn as he was proceeding east on Clearfield Pike, at its intersection with Valley View Drive.
The State Police report said Litteck went into the curve at a speed greater than safe for making such a turn, and was ejected from his 2012 Harley-Davidson Super Glide motorcycle. He was wearing a helmet at the time.
Litteck was transported from the scene via Kittanning EMS to ACMH Hospital for evaluation and treatment of major injuries that occurred during this incident. He was then transported to UPMC Presbyterian.
State Police were assisted at the scene by the Armstrong County Sheriff’s Department, the Rayburn Township Fire Department, and Mohney’s Towing.
