Thefts Escalate at Local Dollar Stores

Thieves hit two local retail stores last Saturday.

An unknown white female in her mid 20′s to early 30′s entered the Dollar General along Route 422 in Manor Township on Saturday after 1PM. She stole a purse from the store with multiple items hidden inside it. She drove away in a red color SUV.

Approximately two hours later, the Family Dollar store in Apollo was the victim of retail theft. Susan Lynn Anthony, 59, of Apollo is accused of stealing a bottle of mucus relief pills valued at $4.75.

The Pennsylvania State Police did not confirm that both thefts were related.
