OBIT: Dale E. Larimer (Kittanning)

Dale Eugene Larimer, 79, of Kittanning - formerly of Baconton, Ga. - passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Armstrong Country Health Center.

He was born April 1, 1936, in Kittanning to Newt and Elizabeth (Brison) Larimer.

Dale worked at GM Motors before retirement and also was a U.S. Army veteran – fighting in the Korean War.

Dale liked going camping, was an avid sports fan and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his stepson, Shawn Kelly of Ohio; two stepdaughters: Coleen Ford (Joseph) of South Carolina and Kim Feaster, of Baconton, Ga.; two brothers: Albert (Diane) Larimer of Youngsville, and Glenn Larimer of Kittanning; three sisters: Mary Ellen Walker of Ford City, Janet (Gordon) Larko of Moon Township and Mabel (Jack) Schreckengost of Mentor, Ohio; sister-in-law, Teddy Larimer, of Ohio; as well as nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Doris Larimer and Jean White; son, Dale E. Larimer Jr.; stepdaughter, Sharon Afonador; three brothers: Ken Larimer, Robert Larimer and Newt Larimer; sister, Martha Kammerdiener; and granddaughter, Drew.

Private services will be held by the family, with arrangements entrusted to Mantini Funeral Home in Ford City.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
