OBIT: Rosa Lee Knight (Ford City)

Rosa Lee Knight, 82, of Pittsburgh, (formerly of Ford City) died Friday, September 5, 2014, at Woodhaven Care Center, Monroeville.

Born March 9, 1932, in Ford City, PA, she was a daughter of the late George Bailey, Sr., and Hattie Beatrice (Bennett) Bailey.

Mrs. Knight was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, where she ushered. She had also ushered at Second Baptist Church of Ford City, where she was the last member of the sewing club..

She is survived by her children, Lisa Knight and Charles Knight, both of Pittsburgh, and Wayne Bennett Knight of Indiana, PA; two grandchildren, Amaris and Mariha Martin; and three sisters, Barbara Brown of McGrann, Janet Wilson of Lower Burrell, and Claudia Knight of Lower Burrell, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Knight, Sr., who died in 1975; two sisters, Lula Martin and Yvonne Dillard; and two brothers, George “Junior” Bailey and Andy Bailey.

Friends will be welcomed from 11AM, until the time of service at 2PM, Thursday, September 11, 2014, in the Welch Funeral Home in Ford City. The Reverend Kent Commodore will officiate. Interment will follow in Ford City
