Darla G. Black, 60, of Worthington, died on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at ACMH.

She was born January 10, 1954 in Lower Burrell, the daughter of Dale B. and Gaile E. (McKeever) Gourley.

Darla was a member of Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church where she enjoyed doing God’s work. Teaching Sunday school and participating in the live nativity each year were two of her favorite ways to serve at the church.

Darla was a good friend to everyone she met and will be best remembered for her unshakable faith in God.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Alan W. Black, of Worthington; father, Dale B. Gourley, of Norwalk, Ohio; sister, Dawna Seibel and husband, Timothy, of Williamsburg, Virginia; one niece; and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gaile E. (McKeever) Gourley who died July 27, 2010.

Friends will be received from 10AM until the time of funeral services at 11AM on Friday, September 12, 2014, at Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church, 1006 Butler Rd., Kittanning, with the Rev. Charles Layne officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the Bauer Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery in Worthington.
