Two Arrested for Possible Intoxication in Cowanshannock Township

Shortly after 12:30PM Tuesday night, State Police in Kittanning responded to two separate vehicle accidents along Margaret Road in Cowanshannock Township.

Turns out a local woman was on her way to pick up a friend involved in one of those accidents and became part of one herself – due to suspicion of driving under the influence.

Shortly before 1AM Tuesday night, Kristen Tedeski, 28 of Kittanning, was on her way to pick up a friend who was the victim of a hit-and-run crash on Margaret Road in Cowanshannock Township.

However, Tedeski hit a deer crossing in front of her and decided, after not sustaining any noticeable damage, to turn around. While turning around, she backed down a small hillside and became stuck.

State Police from the Kittanning barracks responded to the hit-and-run scene first before proceeding to Tedeski’s aid, where Trooper Timothy Amy reported observing signs of Tedeski under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

Tedeski was determined not to be capable of safe driving and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. Chemical blood testing was undergone at ACMH.

Charges are to be filed pending laboratory results.

State troopers later determined the hit-and-run was caused by Cory Kilgore, 30 of Yatesboro. He was also found to be under the influence.
