OBIT: Nancy Lou Glunt (Adrian)
Nancy Lou Glunt, 74, of Adrian, died suddenly on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at ACMH.
She was born March 22, 1939, in Altoona, Pa., the daughter of Robert J. and Elizabeth Marie (Raible) Murray.
Nancy was a resident of the Kittanning area for 18 years, previously living in Penn Hills for 23 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kittanning and belonged for the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years.
Reading and quilting were two of Nancy’s favorite hobbies, but she also loved fishing. Every year she traveled to Florida, Las Vegas, Montana and Canada to enjoy fishing in her favorite places.
Family was very important to her, and she was very dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
Nancy will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and for being a loving wife and mother.
Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband, Walter A. Glunt, whom she married March 31, 1959; son, Michael A. Glunt and wife, Darcy, of Stevensville, Montana; two daughters: Patricia A. Kelly and husband, Joseph “Jake,” of Export, and Linda L. Fierst and husband, Bill, of Sarver; nine grandchildren: Kenneth, Michael Jr. and wife, Hope, Brian “Bubba” and fiancée, Chelsey, Mitchell, Marshall, Joe, Dylan, Devin, Keira and Kaile; great-granddaughter, Ava; brother, Robert Murray and wife, Nancy, of Duncansville, Pa.; and sister, Elizabeth “Ann” Wolf and husband, William, of Altoona.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Donna Glunt; brothers, Andrew and Donald Murray; sister, Kathleen Petersen; and sister-in-law, Michelle Knee.
Friends and families will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Bauer Funeral Home in Kittanning.
Additional visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of funeral services at 11AM on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Allyn Ricketts officiating.
Burial will be in Plum Creek Cemetery, 670 Center New Texas Rd., Plum Boro, PA 15239.
