Kittanning Police were summons Wednesday morning when a Marburger Dairy delivery truck backed into a parked vehicle on South McKean Street.

Police Chief Bruce Mathews investigated the incident.

“We were called there this morning in regards to a delivery truck that had backed into a vehicle that was parked behind it. The driver had just left Dizzy Lizzie’s Restaurant and didn’t see the vehicle back there.”

The Marburger truck driver, Eugene Beitch of East Butler, indicated that he did not see the 2009 Ford sedan in his side mirrors prior to putting the truck in reverse. The car was driven by Casey Bickings of Ford Cliff.

“Damage occurred from the bumper lift gate of the truck backed over it and creased the top of the hood,” Mathews said.

The vehicles were parked in parking spaces along South McKean Street near Citizens Bank. Dizzy Lizzie’s Restaurant was directly across the street.

There were no injuries and Bickings was able to drive the car from the scene.
